Some basics:
1.
Only 5% of creating a website is plugging it into the computer. The other 95% is getting validated
information in a timely fashion that is not pirated images etc from others.
2.
The websites I’ve done for nothing create a problem that I’m faced with more often than not.
Because there is no money involved, I have to almost fight with the site owner to get the needed data
from them ‘in the next week or so’. Instead, I wind up getting it <???> in a few months, if at all. The
project starts out in high gear, but then the owners fizzle out.
3.
The content pendulum can swing the other way also… Site owners want to pump in all sorts of images,
calendar dates, and other ‘perishable content’ that they have no plans on keeping current.
4.
The websites I create are not meant to be entertaining, but serve a needed function within God’s plan
for the site’s organization. I can do a little bit of animation, but that is not my cup ‘o tea.
Remember that some of your site visitors may have slow computers and web hookups and the more
‘frilly’ stuff added is quite often counter-productive.
5.
It may be that you’d like a simple site that I can create in “site.Google” in a couple hours for free.
Though I believe they hold the option of inserting ads at their discretion. I could help you with that also. (Example below)
6.
(Optionally) The only expense is purchasing a ‘nickname’ for your site that is not so long and cryptic. The shorter name (called a domain name) costs
$7-10. each year. The domain name for the above might be:  “unplugged computing.com.”
7.
Websites and newsletters really enhance each other, as does a knife and a fork. Consider your organization’s needs and abilities to support such a duo.
How to start:
1.
In 25 or less words, describe the goal of your organization. Choose this carefully so I can understand where you are going.
2.
Check around the web and see any sites that are somewhat like what you want. From this, I can tell you what I’m capable of and willing to do.
3.
Describe to me the person(s) you think would find your site valuable. Don’t be too generic.
4.
How am I going to get your images and other content?
5.
Understand that I will be the SOLE webmaster until you replace me. This you can do at any time without a specified reason. Because the website will be
your exclusive property, you alone shoulder any content infringement libel. etc. I will regularly send you the master progs that create your site, along with
           any passwords etc.
== There are undoubtedly other considerations but this will give you a start.
== Nothing in this document guarantees I will do your site or that it will be created/maintained for free.
== Contact me to discuss possible next steps in the selection process.
